Galvanic Facial Training

A Galvanic Facial treatment involves the use of electric currents to rejuvenate and stimulate the skin. Electrical Facial treatments are hugely in demand to improve the condition of the skin and minimise the effects of aging. This course will enable you to begin earning well within this lucrative treatment area. This treatment helps to facilitate the transport of important nutrients into the skin to improve circulation, cleansing, radiance and hydration. The Galvanic shows great results, it helps to smooth out wrinkles, increase the flow of blood and tighten muscles. A Galvanic Facial involves the use of mild electric currents consisting of positive and negative ions to refresh, stimulate and rejuvenate the skin. It uses a process by the scientific name of iontophoresis to transport electrically charged particles (ions) into the skin through gels that are positively or negatively charged. The charged ingredients are carried into the deeper layers of the skin and concentrated there.

Micro current energy has been documented and studied for over a century, and galvanic treatments use very low-frequency impulses so there is no risk of burning or electric shock. The electricity triggers cellular turnover so that any damaged tissues can repair and heal quickly, and even though the procedure does not injure the tissues, it does ‘trick’ the cells so that they begin to undergo the healing process. Galvanic Facial treatments have a proven track record in Europe and have been used for decades as an anti-aging solution. They are all over the social media Instagram feds and Facebook, yet another big treatment coming this way.

This treatment is usually given at many spas, and a single session lasts for approximately 1 hour. Bristol Beauty Aesthetics Training in the Galvanic Electrical Facialis designed to teach our delegates the advanced skills of offering the Electrical Facial Treatment competently to your clients. This effective treatment works onimproving the condition of the skin, defying signs of ageing and minimizing the appearance of skin concerns, is highly in-demand for clients of all ages. You will learn Galvanic Electrical Facial procedures with different techniques being added to existing facial treatments. We discuss the theoretical knowledge behind the treatment and how to adhere the treatment to skin-types over your day of hands-on, practical training

A galvanic facial can be considered a “non-surgical facelift”, and results include smoothed out wrinkles, tightened muscles and increased blood circulation, which nourishes the skin cells. Galvanic Electrical facials are becoming increasingly popular due to their effectiveness in offering a deeper, more penetrating treatment than a professional facial. Electrical facials work to improve the condition of skin, delay or reduce early signs of ageing and minimize the appearance of skin concerns such as scarring or pigmentation. Whilst studying at Bristol Beauty Aesthetics Training you will be shown how to devise a treatment plan for a variety of skin types including tactile tests, as well as being taught how to competently perform electrical facials with the galvanic machine (Desincrustation/Iontophoresis) with utilising ourprofessional equipment.

One of the primary benefits of a Galvanic Facial is the improved oxygenation and circulation in the treated area. The Galvanic charge increases the efficacy of the products used during the treatment and brings an elevated level of nourishment to the skin. Galvanic Facials deeply cleanse skin of impurities that can cause a dull and lifeless appearance. This process happens when negatively charged ions draw and encapsulate toxins, preparing them to be removed. Phase two of the treatment pulls the encapsulated impurities from the skin by attracting them with a positive charge.

The galvanic current and positively charged product, anti-aging ingredients in the treatment gels deeply penetrate your skin and work harder at attacking and neutralizing free radicals. Regular in-home or spa galvanic treatments restore and rejuvenate mature skin and help reduce present wrinkles by tightening and clarifying skin. Galvanic treatments benefit younger skin as well by promoting cellular health, helping it to stave off free-radical damage and premature aging.

A Galvanic Facial is often known as an Electrical Facial and contains two elements. It is used within a normal facial routine. You can cleanse, exfoliate then do a galvanic treatment, then finish with a mask, tone and moisturise. It uses a direct Galvanic current that passes into the skin. This should never be a painful treatment.

Iontophoresis therapy is the therapeutic introduction of ions of soluble salts into tissues by means of electric current; a form of electro-osmosis. It is a process of increasing the penetration of products into surface tissues by the application of electric current. Galvanic Facial treatments offer a solution for making those skincare products work. The machine promotes the absorption of products used on the skin, driving them deeper into the pores so that they can work. It also helps to tighten up the skin, helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for good.

When studying the Galvanic Treatment you will use the professional name of the Desincrustation technique. This process is to help the removal of the dead skin cells, and the oily substance sebum is softened. The deep cleaning element removes the excess sebum secreted by the sebaceous glands. Desincrustation is a deep cleanse, relax pores, stimulate circulation, remove surface adhesions. This will prepare the skin for extraction process of the treatment.

Our next process of the treatment is the use of the second gel. This is called Iontophoresis, or the nutrition step, for the skin. The skin specialist uses a Galvanic messenger with a chrome base that conducts the Galvanic current directly onto the skin. The current is a mixture of positive and negative ions that help rebalance and redistribute energy throughout the skin. This process places water soluble substances into the skin for super softening. Ampoules or Gels canbe used, gels are generally easier to use as they don’t run all over the face. Dry skin, skin that is dull is best for using with Iontophoresis.

Galvanic facial therapy is considered a complete skin reconditioning system and offers benefits for all skin types. It can be used to:

  • Heal acne scars
  • Eliminate fine lines
  • Reduce or eliminate wrinkles
  • Get rid of superficial scars
  • Buff and tone up the skin
  • Reduce puffy eyebags or the appearance of dark circles
  • Tighten up loose skin
  • Even out the skin tone
