PRP Microneedling Training
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma is an advanced regenerative procedure
We have offered this course for over 10 years now and we are always the forefront of regenerative medicine at the natural skin school.
We have adjusted a few courses via the website and now only teach PRP with Microneedling. PRF is our course for injection technique, you can read the difference between the courses via the regenerative link on the website and have the option to combine both studies.
PRP with Microneedling (also known as the Vampire Facial) is a revolutionary micro-needling treatment that lifts, tightens and rejuvenates the skin. PRP Microneedling can deliver treatment at a more controlled depth with a adaptable cartridge attached to a microneedling pen, which is more comfortable, targeted with less downtime. With the use of the Microneedling pen to stimulate the body’s natural healing abilities and promote collagen production resulting in a fresh, firmer and more radiant appearance.
PRP Platelets release growth factors that help the body repair itself by stimulating cells to generate new tissue and infuse the skin through the open micro channels created by the pen and their needles. This treatment promotes healthy skin, hair growth and has been shown to be effective at improving skin texture, fine lines, skin tone, dull skin. pigmentation and can also help smooth both acne and surgical scars.
Platelet-rich-plasma (PRP) is just a way of isolating these platelets and reinjecting them into a localised area to stimulate a natural healing process. The practitioner first takes a sample of blood from the patient, usually in a 10ml vial. This is then placed into a centrifuge, which separates the different components in the blood due to the gravitational force it is exposed to during centrifugation. The red blood cells and buffy coat are pushed to the bottom, whereas the Platelet-rich-plasma – a gold-coloured liquid – will settle at the top. This is then harvested and administered as a treatment in several therapeutic applications, including aesthetics, hair regrowth, dermatology. Depending on the treatment, a practitioner may centrifuge the blood at a different speed, to create a concentrated PRP layer.
After Centrifugation, the blood is split into three different layers. The red blood cells and buffy coat are discarded, and the PRP plasma is used for the treatment.
