Microneedling and Skin Needling Training

Microneedling also called Skin Needling therapy, Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), and Percutaneous Collagen Induction (PCI), is a minimally invasive skin-rejuvenation procedure that involves the use of a device that contains fine needles. Due to their great results, comprehensive range and adaptability derma pens are becoming one of the most popular treatments available at top level aesthetic clinics. Study this microneedling course with Bristol Beauty Aesthetic Training School and we can help you achieve your goals.

Microneedling Course in Bristol

Microneedling is aimed at stimulating the body’s own collagen production to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, stretch marks, shrinking pore size, skin laxity and scarring such as that caused by acne or chicken pox. It has also been successfully applied to the indication of hair restoration in cases of alopecia.

The disposable needles are attached to a pen, which is moved over the surface of the skin to create many microscopic channels or to a cartridge of needles arranged in a circle at the end of an automated device.

Treatments with a micro needle pen do not burn the skin (like laser), dissolve it (like chemical peels), or abrade and scrape it (like dermabrasion). Micro-needling with the Needle Pen gently stimulates the skin with very fine needles that encourage natural collagen production, giving amazing results.

Simple to use the pen is glided over the skin and microscopic channels are lightly stamped into the skins matrix stimulating a wound healing response with intense renewal repair and rejuvenation. Natural growth factors are released to stimulate reformation and deposition of fresh, restricting collagen.

Microneedling is the use of a small pen with fine, titanium micro needles, which is rolled over the skin to create small controlled injuries. The concept of skin needling is based on the skin’s natural ability to repair itself whenever it encounters physical damage such as cuts, burns and other abrasions. Immediately after an injury occurs to the skin our body reuses the damaged collagen and elastin fibres as well as other damaged skin components to produce new ones. Skin needling allows for controlled induction of the skin’s self-repair mechanism by creating micro “injuries” in the skin which triggers new collagen synthesis, yet does not pose the risk of permanent scarring. The result is smoother, firmer and younger looking skin.

The needles are attached to the end of an automated pen-like device which is moved over the surface of the skin to create many microscopic channels or columns, approximately 0.07- 0.25mm wide, at various depths of penetration.

This “damage” to the dermis encourages the body to produce new collagen and elastin which generate new skin cells to literally “repair” itself, thus the skin becomes thicker, plumper and more youthful. Although primarily used on the face, this procedure can be carried out anywhere on the body, such as on stretch marks on the thighs and abdomen, and generally on all skin types.

It may sound a bit out of the ordinary, having 200 tiny needles rolled over your skin, but it is one of the very best treatments available for a healthy, youthful glow.

Micro-needling corrects open pores, lines and wrinkles, pigmentation, acne scarring and stretch marks by inducing the body’s own natural production of collagen and elastin to regenerate your skin.

Collagen and Elastin fibres break down as we age, leading to lines, wrinkles, skin laxity and uneven skin texture. Medical research shows that using a Microneedling pen (0.5mm and above) increases collagen Induction by up to 1000% after a single use! Over a period of weeks, our body then cleverly remodels the collagen type 3 that is immediately produced, into collagen type 1, the ‘youthful’ collagen that we have when we are young!

Micro-needling is very popular among the Hollywood Celebrities; there’s no significant ‘downtime’ and they see outstanding results.
