Radio Frequency Facial Course

Radio Frequency also known as (RF) Therapy is a nonsurgical facial electrical treatment it is a method of tightening for the skin. The procedure is non-invasive which involves the use of energy waves to heat the deep layer of your skin known as your dermis.  As we train more and more facialists here at Bristol Beauty Aesthetics School with the combine cutting edge technology they all value our hands-on approach, the demand for treatments such as Radio frequency facials are ever increasing. Our clients crave the secret to tighter and better-looking skin.

As we age the quality of our skin diminishes, it becomes duller and sallower and loses its vibrancy and elasticity. We also come across clients with sun damage causing their skin discoloration and definite signs of wrinkling, while the breaking down of collagen has a huge effect on the skin strength and elasticity. Time and skin trauma will cause the collagen to degrade, Radio frequency certainly reaches clients expectations with improving skin texture and appearance without significant downtime of a more invasive clinic treatment. A natural, glowing younger looking skin is everyone’s goal, right?

The RF treatment really does target fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars and photoaging at the same time as tightening, with minimal discomfort or recovery time.

Whilst the RF helps the skin with a firming, lifting and tighten effect through aiding the skins own ability to produce collagen. The RF can target skin concerns including wrinkles, sagging skin & acne scarring.

This advanced treatment can also soften fine lines while firming the facial contours, both immediately and over time. Therefore, Radio frequency is a favourite heat treatment stimulating collagen induction and with it being a form of electromagnetic energy.

When the RF is applied to the area treated, it causes a molecular friction, producing heat. The actual source of the heat is the frictional resistance of the tissue. By doing this, the RF treatment can contract the collagen fibres, resulting in an immediate skin-tightening effect. Its delayed collagen synthesis, meaning the results are both instant and cumulative.

Indeed, the immediate results can be impressive. A single session will likely leave you with a noticeably lifted contoured face and glowing complexion, with also leaving the skin around the nasolabial folds and jawline looking especially taught and fresh. It is also great for softening fine lines, especially the nose to mouth lines – as well as lifting the cheeks and tightening the jawline.

Klaire recommends the study of Radio frequency to help clients experiencing loss of firmness and dullness in their skin. As well as it naturally preproducing collagen, it also boosts oxygen levels in the skin, so it is great for general radiance and we can teach you how to mix modalities with other treatments. Most of our students keep coming back for furthering their educational studies, giving added treatments to their client’s skin plans.

RF waves heat the deep layer of your skin to between 122 and 167°F (50–75°C) When the Radio frequency treatment is carried out studies have found to have maintaining a temperature over 115°F (46°C) for over 3 minutes causes your body to release heat-shock proteins. These proteins stimulate your body to create new collagen fibres. Collagen is the most common protein in your body. It creates the framework of your skin and gives your skin its firmness.

The skin therapist moves a warm wand over the skin, gently heating the skin to stimulate the production of collagen, resulting in tighter, firmer & younger looking skin. Radio Frequency is a relaxing treatment that involves the application of a product for glide to the skin and a lovely warmth from the wand passes over the skin in circular lymphatic motions.
The wand gently heats the lower levels of the skin to approximately 46°c; this will trick the brain into thinking there has been a potential injury and stimulates a healing response.

This in turn causes increased collagen production and tightening of elastin fibres. The tightening of elastin fibres is instant meaning the skin appears noticeably tighter and lifted from the first treatment. The gentle heat also promotes fat cell reduction on body treatments.

The Radio Frequency is vastly different to any other facial electrical treatment, its completely different waves. It is one of the strongest effects on the skin and certainly, you need to be trained in this treatment and chosen machine for insurance purposes. You are not covered under your level 3 qualification. The RF is an equivalent to a level 4 accredited certification.

The primary benefits of RF therapy are tightening the skin and reducing fine lines. However, RF therapy may also help fight sun damage due to its ability stimulate the production of collagen. As you age, your cells produce less collagen, which leads to sagging skin and wrinkles. Skin laxity occurs around age 35 to 40 when the quantity and quality of your collagen begins to decline, so the potential benefits it has for your skin are fantastic. So, the RF is revolutionary clinic treatment popular to clients that firms, tightens and lifts the skin, all without having to go under the knife.

Radio Frequency can also be used on the body. You will need a body certificate to carry out a body treatment highlights that the treatment is particularly suitable for upper and lower abs and inner and outer thighs. It can also have great results on upper arms. Some swear by its efficacy when it comes to reducing the appearance of cellulite. When used to treat the body radiofrequency is often performed at a higher temperature.

Your skin temperature should be measured during the treatment to ensure that it is high enough to bring about significant benefits without risking problems such as burns.

Full practical demonstrations and guidance throughout the morning, students will learn the theory and practical application of the Radio Frequency facial & how to bespoke this treatment alongside other Facial & Aesthetics treatments.
The knowledge you gain will not only enable you to advise your client on the best treatment for them but also how to prepare them for the most successful outcome of any other treatments you offer on the face. Bristol Beauty Aesthetic training will teach you how to become the best Aesthetician in the business.
